Lady Jackets To Play Transylvania In Rd 1 Of NCAA Tournament

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jacket basketball team will play Transylvania University on Friday at 5:00 pm in St. Louis, MO at Washington University-St. Louis in the first round of the 2009 NCAA III Women's Basketball National Tournament the NCAA III Selection Committee announced today.
Howard Payne who won their 4th American Southwest Conference Title in five years on Sunday finished at 23-5 overall. Transylvania University finished the season at 22-5 overall and were the winner of the Heartland Conference. The other two teams at that site are host Washington University-St. Louis (21-4), winners of the University Athletic Association (UAA) and Capital University (22-5) winners of the Ohio Athletic Conference.
