Six Lady Jackets On Academic All-Conference List

RICHARDSON, Texas - 352 student-athletes from 15 universities and colleges are among the individuals recognized by the American Southwest Conference on its Spring 2010 All-Academic honor roll, the league office announced on Tuesday. Howard Payne landed six softball players on the list.

Melissa Hall Jr. Art. Education Comfort, TX 

Kimble Luna So. Family Studies Sonora, TX 

Rebecca McDaniel Sr. Family Studies Mineral Wells, TX 

Justine Ferrell-Raborn So. Exercise and Sport Science Salado, TX 

Ashley Silva Jr. Spanish/Education Angleton, TX 

Mallory Wood Sr. Psychology Watauga, TX

To be eligible for ASC All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have lettered in the spring 2010 season, be in at least the second academic year at their institution, and carry a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or better.

A total of 65 student athletic trainers and student sports information directors were also honored.
