Alvarado, Norwood Added To 2010 SB Recruit List

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne softball program announced today that Elizabeth Alvarado and Lauren Norwood are the two latest additions to the 2010 softball recruit class. 

Elizabeth Alvarado and Lauren Norwood have met all HPU admissions requirements and decided to continue their playing careers at Howard Payne University this next season. 

Elizabeth Alvarado
Elizabeth Alvarado was a three-year letterman at Klein Forest high school in Houston graduating in 2009. There she was Honorable Mention All-District and a three-time Academic All-District selection. 

Last season she was at Prairie View A&M University where she started 25 of 38 games with a .922 fielding pct. Elizabeth in majoring in Biology. 

Lauren Norwood
Lauren Norwood is a four-time All-District selection from Mabank high school in Mabank, Texas. She is also a three-time All-Henderson County selection as an outfielder and utility player. 

She is the daughter of Angie and Scott Tuley and Danny Norwood. She is majoring in Education plans to teach and coach after graduation.
