BROWNWOOD, Texas – Howard Payne University's athletic department today announced that Meia Netter has stepped down as head women's basketball coach after five seasons.
 
Coach Netter, a 2008 HPU graduate, also served the university as assistant director of athletics: senior woman administrator. She was employed by HPU in 2012.
 
"Coach Netter has been a part of the HPU community for many years and we wish her great success in her future endeavors," said Hunter Sims, HPU athletic director.
 
HPU will begin a search for a new head coach immediately.
