SAN ANTONIO, TX...The Yellow jackets after defeating NCAA II TX AM-Commerce last Friday, lost to the Trinity University Tigers 97-85. The Jackets would get out to a slow start and were down at half 45-31. HPU would play solid in the 2nd half, shooting 57% from the field, 46% from the 3-point line, and 88.9% from the free-throw line. The difference in the game would be the rebounding, the Jackets were out rebounded by Trinity 48-31 in the game.

Leading stats for HPU Jr. G Kendrick Johnson(WIllowridge HS) would lead the Jackets in scoring with 17. Also playing well would be Sr. G Matt Zinser(Burnett HS) and Fr. G Eldrick Spivey(Huntsville HS) both with 11.

Leading performance for Trinity was Ross Hunt with 10 for 19 from the field for 30 points(2-7 from 3point), 8-8 from the free-throw line, and 6 rebounds.
