Lady Jackets get upset by Mississippi College

CLINTON, MS - MC's Brittany Baham scored a game high 24 points off the bench to lead Mississippi College to a 77-68 win over Howard Payne University Monday night.

Howard Payne was led by So. G Meia Daniels(Fossil Ridge HS) who poured in 22 points on 8-15 shooting. Jr. G Heather Hohertz(Priddy HS) and So. C Stacey Blalock(Magnolia HS) each finished with 13 and eleven points respectively. Jr G Molly Buker(Edgewood HS) added four points and eleven assists.

MC's Baham knocked down 10-12 shot attempts and also led the team with seven rebounds. She also registered four assists. Lacey Kennedy and Jessie Smith each added 12 points with Kennedy also dishing out a team high six assists. Natalie Jordan finished with ten points and six rebounds.

MC led the entire second half but Lady Jackets did cut the deficit to just two points with 6:27 remaining.

The Lady Jackets will be back in action Thursday in the Brownwood Coliseum verses Austin College.
