BROWNWOOD, TX…Sparked by Dayberly Hopper's (Early, TX/EHS) home run, the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets swept their double header against Schreiner University 11-0 and 8-4. Hopper also added a double and two RBIs.
Meredith Yates (Prosper, TX/PHS) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBIs.
Kasie McCain (Corsicana, TX/Mildred HS) went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Chinesia Rhinehart (Ft. Worth, TX/Southwest HS) went 1-for-1 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Tiffany Wolfe (Ft. Worth, TX/N. Crowley HS) pitched both wins. She allowed seven hits and four runs in the 12 innings she pitched.
The Jackets will travel to Alpine, Texas next weekend to take on Sul Ross State University.
