BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Lady Jackets led the Lady Lobos of Sul Ross State the entire match and broke their 5 game losing streak with a 3-0 (30-20,30-22,30-24) victory in the Elliston-Cassle Wellness Center Friday night.

HPU's Sr. MB Destiny Barry (Burnet) led the offensive output for the Lady Jackets with 13 kills and a .481 hitting pct. Jr. OH Katie Preuss (Comfort) and Sr. OH Sandra Fish (Burnet) also chipped in 12 and 10 kills respectively.

HPU dominated all three games in the match. Sul Ross was only able to tie it up for a short time early in the third game but from there HPU again took the lead and went on to win 3-0.

Howard Payne So. Setter Patricia Brown (Tomball) led the Lady Jackets in assists with 41. Sandra Fish also picked up a team high 18 digs.

Sul Ross OH Macias led the Lady Lobos with 10 kills.

Howard Payne improves to 7-13, and 4-8 in ASC play, while Sul Ross drops to 10-13, and 6-5 in ASC action.

HPU will play again on Tuesday in Abilene against McMurry, it will be a 7:00 pm start.
