IRVING, Texas - The Lady Jackets come back to tie the game 2-2 in the fourth but loss in extra innings 3-2 to Mississippi College on Saturday at the ASC Softball Championship Tournament.

MC hit the scoreboard first putting up 2 runs in the top of the third inning, but HPU answered back with one of their own in the bottom of the inning. It came on Tammy Hart trying to stretch her hit into a double being thrown out at second, but it did allow Jill McLaughlin to score.

Howard Payne did add another score to tie the game at 2-2 on a sac fly by Kristy Pinkerton scoring Lauren Lablue.

The game went to extra innings and MC was able to score in the top of the eighth and hold HPU to win the game.

MC's Perry got the win, who was the second pitcher they used in the game. HPU's Tiffany Wolfe got the loss pitching all eight innings.
