KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne went 1-2 at the second American Southwest Crossover Tournament at Schreiner University. The Lady Jacket fell to Mississippi College and East Texas Baptist both 1-3 but defeated LeTourneau 3-0.

The Lady Jackets first match was a 1-3 (29-31, 30-20, 17-30, 20-30) loss to Mississippi College. Katie Preuss led the Lady Jackets with12 kills with a .308 attack pct. while Jessica Hutton had 13 kills with a .189 attack pct.

In HPU's first match on Saturday they fell to East Texas Baptist 1-3 (30-23, 26-30, 20-30, 19-30). Megan Pick and Jessica Hutton both completed they match with 18 kills. Setter Patricia Brown had 50 assists in the match.

In the second match of the day Howard Payne defeated LeTourneau 3-0.

The Lady Jackets will play again at home on Tuesday versus Concordia University Texas at 7:00 PM.
