Lady Jackets Win Second In A Row

DALLAS, Texas - Howard Payne forward Felicia Pena had her second hat trick of the season as the Howard Payne Lady Jackets defeat the University of Dallas 3-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday.

HPU forward Felicia Pena scored all three of the Howard Payne goals and moved her season goal total to nine.

HPU got their first goal in the 5th minute of the match when Nelly Ruiz's pass found Felicia Pena for goal, leading to a 1-0 HPU halftime lead.

The University of Dallas tied the game up at 1-1 all in the 54th minute on a Mary Alzheimer goal.

It was all Lady Jackets from there as Felicia Pena added two more goals in the 55th and 80th minutes. Susana Chavarria and Liz McDonald-Smith received assists on the goals.

Nicole Pena play all 90 minutes in goal for Howard Payne recording 2 saves.

Howard Payne improves to 4-10-1 on the season.

The Lady Jackets will be at home this Friday and Saturday taking on Hardin-Simmons and McMurry.
