BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jackets volleyball program dropped matches to McMurry, College of the Southwest, and the University of Dallas this weekend at the McMurry University Tournament in Abilene.

On Friday versus McMurry, the Lady Jackets fell 0-3(21-30, 17-30, 25-30)

Sydney Bryant had 10 kills while Trish Brown added 21 Assists and 12 digs. Missy Dennis grabbed 17 digs with 2 aces.

Match two on Friday was versus College of the Southwest. HPU loss 0-3(24-30, 18-30, 26-30)

Megan Pick had 8 kills, 10 digs, and 2 blocks. Jane Mattingly had 7 kills and Katie Preuss got 7 kills. Sydney Bryant with 7 kills and 11 digs and Trish Brown had 28 assists. Jessica Hutton and Missy Dennis had 10 and 23 digs respectively.

On Saturday HPU faced the University of Dallas losing 0-3(26-30, 28-30, 28-30)

Sydney Bryant led with 12 kills and 8 digs while Megan Pick added 10 kills, 8 digs, and 4 blocks. Katie Preuss had 9 kills and 2 blocks. Trish Brown with 38 assists and 7 digs and Missy Dennis adding 9 digs and 2 aces.

HPU's record moves to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Trish Brown was named to the All-Tournament team as a result of her play during the course of the weekend.

The Lady Jackets will play next on Tuesday at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin.
