HPU Falls To UMHB Women 3-4

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team got three goals from forward Felicia Pena but fell 3-4 in American Southwest Conference action on Saturday.

It was dedication day for HPU's new Citizens National Bank Soccer Field.

The Lady Jackets were outshot 6 to 25 in the match, HPU did connect on three of the six. Felicia Pena got all three goals for HPU and Liz McDonald-Smith received credit for two assists.

Pena's three goals was the most goals in a match by a HPU player in the program's two year history.

UMHB's Mickie Arredondo scored 2 goals on seven shot attempts. Kim Wobecky and Taylor Harrison also added one goal each.

Ally Sargeant played all 90 minutes in goal for UMHB and recorded 2 saves.

HPU's Nicole Pena played 90 minutes in goal and got 6 saves.
