BROWNWOOD, Texas – Howard Payne's Takenda Cotton led her team with 2 goals in a 3-0 win over ASC opponent Louisiana College at Citizens National Bank field. 

The Lady Jackets out shot the Lady Wildcats 15-2, nine of them on goal. HPU scored all three of their goals in the first period. 

In the third minute of the first period Takenda Cotton scores the Lady Jacket's first goal, assisted by Kelli Wentworth. Wentworth follows up with her own unassisted goal in the eighth minute. With seven minutes left in the first period, Cotton kicks one last goal with the help of Allison Harp. 

Howard Payne improves to 8-6-0 overall and 6-3-0 in ASC play. Louisiana Colleges falls to 1-11-0 overall and 1-7-0 in ASC play. 

The Lady Jackets will play next tomorrow at home against Mississippi College at 1:00pm.
