Lady Jackets Drop Match To Concordia

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jacket volleyball team falls to Concordia University Texas 1-3 (25-16,25-22,15-25,25-19) in American Southwest Conference Tuesday evening.

Due to construction on the Concordia University campus the match was moved to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

After dropping sets 1 and 2 (16-25,22-25) the Lady Jackets rallied to take set 3, 25-15. Concordia went on take set 3 and defeat Howard Payne 3-1.

Tamika Heline and Megan Pick led Howard Payne with 13 and 10 kills respectively. Pick also recorded a .320 hitting pct. and 3 total blocks, while Heline had a team high 18 digs. 

Patricia Brown had 18 assists followed closely by Amy Crouch with 16.

The Lady Jackets fall to 11-9, 4-7 ASC, while Concordia improves to 7-11, 3-7 ASC.

Howard Payne will play next Tuesday in the Brownwood Coliseum against Hardin-Simmons at 7:00 pm.
