HPU Suffers Road Loss

MARSHALL, Texas - ETBU's Rachael Hastie scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick in the 86th minute of play Saturday, giving ETBU a come-from-behind, 2-1 win over Howard Payne in American Southwest Conference action at Cornish Field. 

Kelli Wentworth put HPU on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 32nd minute. ETBU answered just 6 minutes later. It was a 1-1 tie at the break.

ETBU's Rachael Hastie scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick in the 86th minute of play. 

Rachael Hardegree played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording 4 saves.

Howard Payne falls to 4-4-0 on the season and 3-1-0 in ASC action, while ETBU improves to 2-6 overall and 2-2 in conference action. 

The Lady Jackets will be back in action on Friday at home versus the University of Texas at Tyler.
