Women's Soccer Falls To UT-Tyler

TYLER, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team fell 7-1 to the University of Texas at Tyler in American Southwest Conference action Thursday evening.

SusaSusana Chavarria scored the only goal for Howard Payne on a free kick in the 37th minute.

Howard Payne was outshot 38 to 5 in the game. HPU goal keeper Kaitlyn Kelm played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded 14 saves.

Howard Payne falls to 3-5-1 overall and 2-2-1 in ASC play while UT-Tyler improves to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in ASC play.

The Lady Jackets travel to Austin on Saturday to play Concordia University Texas.
