UT-Dallas Defeats Lady Jackets

BROWNWOOD, Texas- Howard Payne women's soccer got shut out against UT-Dallas Saturday afternoon, 2-0 after holding UTD scoreless at the half.

HPU's goalkeeper, Allison Gudmundson, had 10 saves on the game only not allowing any goals past in the first half. Opposing goalkeeper Andrea Jones had 4 saves on the game, recording a shutout.

Four minutes into the second half UTD's Caitlin Perdue connected with Kristina Kinner to score the game's first goal in the 50th minute.

In the 75th minute Cassie Lydick tacked on UTD's second goal assisted by Emily Hokanson. 

Howard Payne was outshot 13 to 4, and allowed 8 corner kicks to their 1. 

The Lady Jackets move to 5-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the ASC. UT-Dallas go to 4-5-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the ASC.

The women next go on the road to Pineville, Louisiana against Louisiana College Oct. 15 and then head to Clinton, Mississippi to take on Mississippi College the following Oct. 17.
