Lady Jackets Tie Mississippi College

CLINTON, Miss - The Howard Payne women's soccer team get their second shutout of the year but in a 0-0 tie with Mississippi College Saturday afternoon in American Southwest Conference action.

Starter Allison Gudmundson and Kaitlyn Kelm both spend time in goal for Howard Payne holding MC scoreless after regulation and two overtimes. Gudmundson records 3 saves and Kelm gets 5 in the scoreless tie.

Mississippi College outshot Howard Payne 29 to 10 in the game. Leslie Jones got off two of the three HPU shots on goal.

HPU now stands at 6-6-2 overall and 5-3-2 in ASC play. They will be in action next weekend at home playing McMurry on Friday and Hardin-Simmons on Saturday.
