Lady Jackets Pick Up 2-0 Win Over UDallas

IRVING, Texas - Howard Payne forward Leslie Jones added two more goals to her season total to give the women's soccer team a 2-0 non-conference win over the University of Dallas Tuesday afternoon.

The game was tied a 0-0 at the break but Leslie Jones scored goals in the 78th and 80th to post the 2-0 win.

Leslie Jones' goal in the 78th minutes was assisted by Anna McCay and Katie Walker. Jones struck again just two minutes later on an assist from Amanda Jenkins.

Kaitlyn Kelm played solid in goal for HPU recording 8 saves. 

Howard Payne now stands at 8-7-2 overall, while UDallas falls to 5-11 overall on the year.

The Lady Jackets play their final regular season home game on Saturday against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
