SEGUIN, Texas - The Howard Payne tennis team played solid and downed Texas Lutheran 7-2 in American Southwest Conference action Saturday afternoon.
"This was a big win for the men and puts us in the hunt to get into the Conference tournament," said head coach Sally Brown. "Our men came out with great intensity in the doubles and continued with that all the way through the singles. We have had some injuries and have had some players that needed to step up and fill in and they have done just that."
