HPU Softball 3-1 At ASC First-Pitch Tournament

FRAMERS BRANCH, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jacket softball team when 3-1 at the American Southwest Conference First-Pitch Tournament this weekend to improve to 10-2 overall on the year.

On Friday, Howard Payne defeated the University of the Ozarks 5-4. In game two of the day the Lady Jackets posted their only loss of the tournament 2-4 to Mississippi College.

Saturday Howard Payne downed LeTourneau 9-3. In a rematch from earlier in the season the Lady Jackets defeated East Texas Baptist 3-1. ETBU won the meeting earlier this year.

The Lady Jackets improve to 10-2 overall and will play next in the Millsaps College Classic next weekend.
