Lady Jackets Fall To ENMU

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team fell to Eastern New Mexico University 1-4 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

Eastern New Mexico scored three unanswered goals in the first period. Leslie Jones did get the Lady Jackets on the scoreboard when she was able to find the net in the 66th minute on an assist by Takenda Cotton.

Kaitlyn Kelm played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording 10 saves. HPU was outshot 27-3 in the game by ENMU.

Howard Payne will be back in action next weekend on the road in American Southwest Conference action against Schreiner University and Texas Lutheran University.
