Jackets Fall To Schreiner In 2nd OT

KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne men's soccer team lost to Schreiner University 0-1 in two overtimes to open American Southwest Conference action Friday afternoon.

Both teams were statistically even except Schreiner committing 12 more fouls than Howard Payne (17-5). Francisco Medina played the entire game in goal for HPU recording five saves. 

The only goal in the game was by Schreiner's Phillip Anderson in the opening minute of the second overtime. 

Howard Payne falls to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in ASC action, while Schreiner improves to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in ASC play.

The Yellow Jackets travel to Seguin  tomorrow to play Texas Lutheran University in another conference match up.
