Ladies Fall In Abilene

ABILENE, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team dropped an American Southwest Conference match to Hardin-Simmmons University 9-0 Tuesday afternoon.

Doubles play was tight but Howard Payne was down 3-0 going into singles play in the match. Hardin-Simmons posted wins in all the singles spots to beat HPU 9-0. With the loss the Lady Jackets fall to 1-2 in ASC action and are still in the hurt for an ASC postseason birth.

The Lady Jackets stand at 2-8 overall and 1-2 in ASC play. HPU will play next on Friday, April 9th at home versus McMurry University at the Nabers Tennis Center.
