Women's Tennis Finishes Season At McMurry

ABILENE, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team finished the 2009-2010 season at McMurry University today falling 8-1.

Cassie Emerson was the only one to get a win on the women's side for HPU defeating McMurry's Whitney Zugai in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

"The ladies have battled this year," said head coach Sally Brown. "We are young and inexperienced and have met many challenges that will hopefully make us stronger next year." 

The Lady Jackets finish the season at 3-9 overall and 2-4 in ASC action. McMurry improves to 9-6, 4-1 in ASC play.
