HPU-Concordia Texas Finishes In 0-0 Tie

BROWNWOOD, Texas - After 110 minutes all ended in a 0-0 draw for the Howard Payne University women's soccer team Friday afternoon against Concordia University Texas.

With about three minutes left in the second overtime, both teams had good chances to win. CTX had a goal called back because of an offside. HPU had a break away by Jordyn Stephens that was defended well near the goal to keep her from scoring.

The Lady Jackets ended the game with 10 shots on goal, while CTX ended the game with only two.

Fouls ended with HPU at 15 and CTX at 5. Corner kicks were in favor of HPU 4-3.

HPU goes to 2-2-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the ASC play. CTX is at 3-3-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the ASC as well.

The next game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at Citizens National Bank soccer field at home against UT-Tyler.
