BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team recorded their first shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory over McMurry University Saturday afternoon.

Howard Payne's Shane Cazad scored his 12th and 13th goals of the season to give the Yellow Jackets the 2-0 win over McMurry.

Cazad's first was in the 15th minute on an assist from Reese Lawson from the outside left. He scored his second of the day in the 81st minute on a Jaime Benitez assist from the midfield.

Howard Payne is now 6-6 overall and 5-6 in ASC play, while McMurry falls to 1-13 overall and 0-9 in conference.

The Yellow Jackets will play next at home on Tuesday versus the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
