Lady Jackets Win 2-0 At TLU

SEGUIN, Texas - Howard Payne University's Kerrie Ford scored two second half goals to lead the Lady Jackets to a 2-0 conference win over Texas Lutheran University Friday afternoon.

Kerrie Ford knocked home goals in the 48th and 61st minutes with assists from Leslie Jones and Shannon Costello. Ford's first came on a shot from the top of the box. Her second was on a loose ball off a corner kick.

HPU recorded 32 total shots and 18 shots on goal. TLU was held to four total shots and three shots on goal.

Jones took 13 shots for HPU and had seven shots on goal.

Howard Payne improved to 10-5 overall and to 8-3 in the ASC. TLU dropped to 4-13 overall and to 4-8 in the ASC.

The Lady Jackets will finish out the regular season on Saturday versus Schreiner University in Kerrville before coming home next week to prepare ASC post-season tournament.
