KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team played Schreiner University to a halftime tie but a second half goal by Schreiner led to a 2-1 loss for the Yellow Jackets.

Schreiner got the first goal in the 24th minute when Justin Edwards scored off an Eric Bello corner kick.

The Jackets tied the game a 1-1 at the 38 minute mark when a Jaime Benitez pass found Peter Garrard for the goal.

Eric Bello scored the game winning goal for Schreiner in the 52nd minute on a Philip Anderson assist.

Kyle Huesing played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording just one save.

Howard Payne finishes the season at 7-9 overall and Schreiner stands at 4-13 on the year.
