ALPINE, Texas - Tresta Donahoo scored 15 points off the bench for the Howard Payne University in a 86-51 conference road win for the Lady Jackets over Sul Ross State University Saturday afternoon.

After only holding a 35-27 halftime advantage, Howard Payne exploded for 54 second half points. The Lady Jackets shot 59% from the field in the second half and held Sul Ross State to 30% shooting for the game.

Howard Payne improves to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in conference while Sul Ross falls to 2-9 overall and 1-7 in conference.

Tresta Donahoo and Kayla Scottt scored 15 and 12 points respectively off the bench for Howard Payne. Roshonda Gayden led all scorers with 17 points and seven rebounds. Britani Gattis, who started for sick Dana Marrs, scored 11 and Abby Parmelly dished out seven assists.

Candace Pollard led Sul Ross with 14 points followed by Krista Ford and Zuri Isworski with 13 and 12 points.

Howard Payne will have a road trip to East Texas Baptist on Jan. 5th and Centenary College on Jan. 7th.
