Lady Jackets Get Win Over Central

DALLAS, Texas – The Howard Payne women's tennis team picked up a much needed non-conference win over Central College 5-4 Tuesday afternoon.

Howard Payne found themselves up early after winning two of three doubles matches. Emilee Stephens won in the #6 singles spot 6-1, 6-1, but it Lillie Davis at #3 and Whitney Turnacliff at #5 with third set wins that won the match 5-4 for the Lady Jackets.

Howard Payne is now at 2-5 overall on the year. They will have a non-conference match with Kansas Wesleyan University on the 22nd in Brownwood.
