Lady Jackets Get 1-0 Win Over LeTourneau

BROWNWOOD, Texas - After a four hour lightning delay, the Howard Payne women's soccer team final got to play and posted a 1-0 win over LeTourneau University Saturday at Citizens National Bank Field.

HPU's Leslie Jones broke a scoreless tie in the 68th minute on a Lendsey Reed assist. It was the first on the year for both.

The Lady Jackets outshot LETU 21-2 in the match. Adrienne Walker was in goal for HPU recording two saves.

Howard Payne improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. LETU falls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in conference action.

The Lady Jackets will play next Thursday in Austin versus Concordia University Texas.
