VB Falls 1-3 To Concordia Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne University volleyball team took game one in the match but dropped the next three to lose 1-3 to Concordia University Texas Thursday evening on the road.

The HPU Lady Jackets won game one 25-21 but dropped the 2nd 21-25 and highly contested 3rd and 4th games 23-25 each.

Sarah Bishop led HPU with 13 kills along with 12 digs. Tamika Heline followed with eight kills and 14 digs. Kristin Hammond had 20 digs.

Kalynn White had 15 kills and Amanda Alffolter had 10 for Concordia.

Howard Payne is at 4-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play while Concordia is at 5-5 overall and 1-3 in ASC action.

The Lady Jackets will be at home on Friday versus Sul Ross State at 5:00 pm in the Brownwood Coliseum.
