Lady Jackets Lose 0-2 At UT-Tyler

TYLER, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team could not recover from a 2-0 halftime deficit and fell to the University of Texas Tyler by the same score in American Southwest Conference action Saturday afternoon.

UT-Tyler got goals in the 6th and 43rd minutes to hold a 2-0 halftime advantage over the Lady Jackets.

Adrienne Walker played the first 45 minutes in goal for HPU allowing the two goals and recording two saves. Kaitlyn Kelm played in goal in the second period posting three saves.

HPU is now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in ASC action while UT-Tyler stands at 4-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The Lady Jackets will be back in action next Friday at home versus the University of Texas Dallas.
