Lady Jackets Lose To UT-Dallas

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's soccer team dropped a 0-1 decision to the University of Texas at Dallas Friday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.

A goal by UT-Dallas' Carli Beckett in the sixth minute of the first period was the only score of the match. Leah Bowyer's pass came from corner to Beckett at the top of box.

Adrienne Walker played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording five saves and the one goal allowed.

Brittany Best got the win for UT-Dallas with two saves.

The Lady Jackets will continue ASC action playing the University of the Ozarks on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
