BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Schreiner University in conference action Saturday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.

The winning goal for Schreiner came in the 23rd minute on a miss-clear. Schreiner's David Machado would then tap in from 6 yards out.

Drew Clanahan got the loss at keeper for HPU recording three saves. Jacob Moore led HPU in shots on goal with two.

The Jackets are now 3-6-1 overall and Schreiner stands at 4-8 overall. Howard Payne will play next on Thursday versus East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas.
