Jackets Get 7-2 Win Over Kansas Wesleyan

DALLAS, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team posted a 7-2 win over Kansas Wesleyan University in non-conference match play early Friday evening.

The Yellow Jackets only dropped the number three doubles and number six singles matches against KWU. All three doubles matches were highly contested.

In the number two singles spot, Luis Vallecillo defeated Leonardo Mendez of KWU 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 after narrowly winning the first set. John Sanuel defeated Taylor Eastman of KWU 6-4, 1-6, 10-7 in the number five singles. It was the only match to go to a third set.

The Yellow Jackets will stay in the D/FW area and play Dallas Baptist and UT-Dallas on Saturday.
