BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team improves to 3-1 in American Southwest Conference West Division action with a 7-2 win over Texas Lutheran University Friday afternoon.

The Lady Jacket team team started their match solid rolling through the doubles matches 8-3, 8-3 and 8-2 over Texas Lutheran. Howard Payne nearly held TLU scoreless only dropping the number one and four singles matches in three sets.

Howard Payne is now 6-12 overall and 3-1 in ASC West Division play. Texas Lutheran falls to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the ASC. Howard Payne will play a rescheduled non-conference match with Austin College tomorrow at 2:00 pm at the Nabers Tennis Center.
