Women's Tennis Loses To Austin College

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match 6-3 to Austin College Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

The Lady Jackets only picked up one of the three doubles points in the match. In the number three doubles spot, HPU's Emilee Stephens and Samantha Guerrero defeated Jessie Berger and Amy Harvey 8-5.

Howard Payne picked up the number four and six singles. Emilee Stephens defeated Jessie Berger of AC 6-2, 6-2 in the number four slot and in the six spot Larissa Lynskey defeated Amy Harvey 6-1, 7-5.

The Lady Jackets are now 6-13 overall. HPU will play next versus Hardin-Simmons in Abilene starting at 4:00 pm on April 18th.
