BROWNWOOD, Texas - Howard Payne got two goals from senior Leslie Jones in a 3-0 conference win over the University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.

The Lady Jackets dominated the match outshooting Ozarks 26-1 in the game. HPU also had 9 corner kicks to just two for Ozarks.

Howard Payne got  the scoring started in the 9th minute when Leslie Jones scored her first of the day on a Kerrie Ford cross from the left side of field.

The second came in the 55th minute. A Shannon Costello corner kick was finished off by a Katy Nix header. Leslie Jones would score her second of the day in the 75th minute on a Holly Gardner cross into the box.

Howard Payne is now 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Ozarks falls to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in ASC action. The Lady Jackets will play next on September 20th in Clinton, Miss against Mississippi College.
