Lady Jackets Gain 1-0 Win Over LC

PINEVILLE, LA - The Howard Payne women's soccer team got a 1-0 win after Louisiana College allowed an own goal score in the 40th minute in conference action Saturday morning.

The Lady Jackets got off four shots on goal but it would be LC's own goal score that gave HPU the 1-0 win in the 40th minute. LC led total shots 11-9 and had 10 corner kicks to none for the Lady Jackets.

Adrienne Walker got the win for HPU playing all ninety minutes in goal and recording 6 saves.

HPU is now 2-4 overal and 2-2 in conference play. LC stands at 3-4 overal and 0-2 in ASC play. The Lady Jackets will play next on September 27th in Georgetown, Texas versus non-conference opponent Southwestern University at 7:00 pm.
