WSOC Loses To Texas Wesleyan

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne University women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Texas Wesleyan University Tuesday at Citizens National Bank Field.

Howard Payne found themselves down early when Texas Wesleyan scored just a 1:22 into the game. TWU scored two more in the opening period to gain a 3-0 halftime advantage.

TWU added another goal with less than 3 minutes left in the match to bring the score to the final 4-0.

The Lady Jackets were outshot 19-6 in the match. Adrienne Walker gained the loss for HPU recording seven saves and playing all 90 minutes in goal.

Howard Payne now stands at 0-2-0 on the year and will play next on September 14th at home versus the University of Texas – Dallas.
