ABILENE, Texas - The Howard Payne men's and women's cross country teams ran this weekend at the Bill Libby/McMurry Invitational and Carissa Zarate and Sean Locker were the top finishers for the Yellow Jackets.

Carissa Zarate finshed 40th with a time of 24:03.46 in the 5K race. Baillie Trumble finished 43rd with a time of 25:26.41. As a team the Lady Jackets finished in 6th overall with a team time of 2:16:16.69.

Sean Locker ran a time of 32:23.63 for the men, good for a 46th finish in the 8K race. Dereck Wilson finished in the 48th spot with a time of 32:49.43. The Jackets finished 8th as a team with a total time of 2:45:01.74.

The Yellow Jackets cross country team will run next at the Ricardo Romo Invitational hosted by the University of Texas San Antonio on September 14th.
