Lady Jackets Fall 2-1 To LC

Stephanie Boggs tied the game at 1-1 with her second half goal

Box Score BROWNWOOD, Texas - Louisiana College would score with just under five minutes remaining in regulation to defeat the Howard Payne Lady Jackets 2-1 in American Southwest Conference action Saturday afternoon.

After both teams played to a 0-0 tie at the half, Louisiana College would score in the 56th minute. A Stephanie Boggs goal in the 59th minute off a free kick would tie the the game at 1-1. 

Despite the Lady Jakcets outshooting LC 24-11 and 13-7 in shots on goal, LC would score the game winner in the 85th minute to claim the 2-1 victory.

Adrienne Walker played all 90 minutes in goal for Howard Payne recording five saves.

Howard Payne is now 2-10-0 overall and Louisiana College stands at 4-8-0 on the year. Howard Payne will play next on October 18th in Longview versus LeTourneau University at 4:00 pm.
