Stephanie Boggs netted her 4th and 5th goals of the season versus LeTourneau

Box Score LONGVIEW, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team scored five first half goals and cruised to a 6-0 conference victory over LeTourneau University Friday afternoon.

Howard Payne outshot LeTourneau 25-2 overall and 13-2 on shots on goal but was topped by LeTourneau 6-2 on corner kicks.

Marley Zochert got the Lady Jackets started early in the game netting a Erica Lopez cross from the right side in the 5th minute. Then in the 25th minute Stephanie Boggs would score her first of two goals in the game in the 31st minute on a Taylor Bicknell pass from the right side.

Boggs would score her second goal just six minutes later beating the goal keeper one-on-one. That goal would be the first of three in a 2:37 minute span for the Lady Jackets.

Cassidy Lindstrom would score on a breakaway in the 33rd minute and Brittany Davis scored under a minute later also on a breakaway.

Leading 5-0 at the break, the Lady Jacket put the brakes on in the second. Bicknell would add an addition goal in the 71st minute and a Priscilla Jamaica pass.

HPU goal keeper, Kelsie Piland gained the shutout win in goal recording two saves in 90 minutes of action.

Howard Payne is now 3-11-0 overall and LeTourneau falls to 1-14-0 overall. The Lady Jackets will travel to Tyler, Texas to take on the University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
