Lady Jackets Fall To UT-Tyler

Box Score TYLER, Texas - A first half goal by Howard Payne's Stephanie Boggs would not be enough as the Lady Jackets fell 3-1 to the University of Texas at Tyler Saturday afternoon.

Stephanie Boggs would score her sixth goal of the season in the 22nd minute to give the Lady Jackets a 1-0 lead. 

Howard Payne carried that lead into the second period till UT-Tyler tied the match in the 58th minute. UT-Tyler added two additional goals in the 64th and 83rd minutes to secure their win.

HPU's Stephanie Boggs would get off four total shots, two on goal and the one goal in the game. Kelsie Piland played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lady Jackets recording 12 saves.

Howard Payne is now 3-11-0 overall and UT-Tyler stands at 7-4-0 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next on Thursday, October 24th at home versus East Texas Baptist University at 1:00 pm.
