WSOC Loses 2-1 To Concordia Texas

Box Score BROWNWOOD, Texas - Kassey Nix netted the only goal for the Lady Jackets as Howard Payne dropped an ASC matchup with Concordia Texas 2-1 Friday afternoon at Citizens Nationa Bank Field.

Concordia scored their first goal on a header in the 14th minute. CTX added another goal in the 32nd minute to take a 2-0 lead.

The Lady Jackets battled back with Kassey Nix heading in a Tori Moore pass in the 41st minute to bring Howard Payne to withing one.

It would remain the same the rest of the way out with Concordia Texas taking the match 2-1. Concordia led in shots 13-8 and Howard Payne led in corner kicks 4-3.

Adrienne Walker played all 90 minutes in goal for Howard Payne recording seven saves. 

Howard Payne now stands at 2-8-0 overall and Concordia is now 4-2-2 overall. The Lady Jackets will take on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at home on Saturday starting at 1:00 pm.
