BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team would drop just two match-ups in a 7-2 win over visiting LeTourneau University Friday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

The HPU Lady Jackets only dropped the number one double and number one singles matches to claim a 7-2 victory over LeTourneau. LeTourneau played a player down thus allowing HPU to pick up the number three doubles and number six singles by default.

The closest match on the day was Samantha Guerrero's number three singles match which she won 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-2) over Shelby May of LeTourneau.

Howard Payne will play next on Saturday versus East Texas Baptist at home starting at 10:00 am.
