Jacket Tennis Drops Matches To UTD And UTT

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne men's tennis team dropped two matches to UT-Dallas and UT-Tyler this weekend at the Nabers Tennis Center.

On Friday, the Jackets fell to the University of Texas at Dallas 9-0. The closest match was the number one doubles spot with HPU's Luis Vallecillo and Jeremy Rodriguez falling 8-6 to UT-Dallas.

Saturday the HPU men dropped a 9-0 decision to the University of Texas at Tyler. Vallecillo and Rodriquez played solid again in number one doubles play but fell 8-3 to UTD.

The Jackets are now 1-3 overall on the year. Howard Payne will play next at home on March 1st versus McMurry University at 1:00 pm
